Fall is arguably the “coolest” season. Besides the crisp autumn weather, fall always delivers really awesome events and good eats. In fact, some of the most amazing treats are considered fall favorites for the masses. Yes, fall definitely brings all kinds of Flava!
Another perk of the season is the beautiful fall colors. The colors as the leaves change before floating from the trees, along with the ever-changing skyline make each fall day feel like you are living and walking through a work of art. Can we give it up for, those fall foods, though! Yeah, your taste buds can’t help but crave the flavors of the season, especially while you’re enjoying the phenomenal colors. Here are some of the flavors you can expect during this cool fall season:
Can you say, "Candy Apples"?
Girl, yes! Most people love themselves some candy apples during autumn. The classic way to eat candy apples is to serve them on a stick with either a red, candy coating or with caramel and/or nuts. But, that’s not the only way to eat them. Like, what if you don’t want to eat them on a stick? A super-easy way to make them is to cut an apple into slices, dip the slices into a coating that you like (could be melted chocolate, caramel, or both), and let it cool. Not only can these be cute (you can decorate them with nuts, M&Ms, and sprinkles), but they are also tastier when they are bite-sized slices.
That Popcorn Be Poppin'
If you don’t know about how amazing that popcorn can be, then, you better ask somebody! Popcorn is a definite all favorite. Corn is such a fall staple that it’s even used for decorating. But, it’s the popcorn for us. Whether you like it plain with butter, slightly sweet and kettle cooked like you find at the fair, or drizzled with chocolate, caramel, and everything else that makes it mad delish, it’s hard to resist this fun to eat treat.
Pumpkin Spice Just Feels Right
It’s almost as if fall doesn’t officially start if the Pumpkin Spice hasn’t begun to show up in all the stores. Ever since they started adding Pumpkin Spice to just about EVERYTHING, it has become a major part of the flavors of fall. It’s usually the first syrup to sell out at Starbucks and anything that has Pumpkin Spice in it will be the first to get eaten at your fall events. Years ago, pumpkin was not really “that” popular among younger Black people. But, today, things have absolutely changed, and Pumpkin Spice is the REAL MVP of the fall season!
Fall will have you all mesmerized and excited at the same time. Don’t believe us? Go get you some of that fall Flava.
